What is Migraine?
Bad headaches alone do not describe Migraine. Compared to other headache disorders, it can be a very disabling neurological disease with distinct symptoms. That may require both pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.
A migraine is a headache that often affects one side of the head and can be extremely painful, throbbing, or pulsating. It frequently comes with heightened sensitivity to light and sound, as well as nausea and vomiting. The pain from a migraine attack can be so intense that it interferes with your regular activities and can persist for hours or even days.
Prodrome, aura, headache, and post-drome are the four stages of a migraine, which can affect both adults and children. Not every migraine sufferer experiences each stage.
How We Treat Migraine
During the evaluation process I perform a thorough analyses of how the body moves, specifically of the head, neck, and face. This evaluation will help to determine which structures may be part of the problem by determining where your discomfort is originating from. The aim is to inform you about each structure and which ones are implicated in triggering migraine attacks!

To improve movement and alleviate musculoskeletal triggers, we offer hands-on treatment, which entails joint mobilizations, neck strengthening, proprioceptive exercises, and mobility interventions. These techniques will help to reduce the triggers ultimately responsible for transmitting pain signals to the brain. This will result in headache and migraine symptom improvement. After that, we create a plan to help you with particular exercises you can perform on your own to keep up the mobility improvements you've made over the course of each session.

The primary goal with treatment is to help you gain control of your migraine attacks so they occur lest frequently and give you more headache-free days!
